I am a new pro tools user and I am using a pc (windows 10). I tried so many things but I can't use the shortcuts as they are written down in the manual. Is there any chance to help me out?:)

It was much simpler before, I just created a bootable USB flash stick under Paragon 2011 (for my Win7-64bit laptop) that didn't ask for Windows ADK (5:16) and it works perfectly. I think Windows ADK only offers a fancier UI and some network capabilities. They should have kept that simple option. Anyhow it is awesome to be able to save images and restore them without having to install Paragon on your PC. Thank you Paragon/Cleverbridge !

The fact that you have latency tells me your computers aren't really sync'd. Understand Steve, that there is a difference between MTC and MIDI Sync. MTC will trigger a midi device to start, but MIDI will not chase MTC because it doesn't really understand MTC, even though it will recognize the start command. My guess is your computers are set to the same tempo and since the MTC sends the start, they are playing very closely together, but not actually synchronized. True midi sync will not have any latency, even when you record it back into the computer. You will not see any latency (gaps before beats). So, not sure what you got going on here, but it's not working, because there should not have to be any latency cleanup that you are doing here. I have a TR-909 syncing up beautifully with my computer, but it does it using MIDI sync, not MTC. I have to put the TR-909 in MIDI sync mode and pro tools controls it. MTC does NOT need to be on in pro tools, in fact, if it is, it will only confuse the situation.

hey, thank you very much for the great contribution, it is very appreciated, but in my short time with the daw e seen that this process is mui simple in other daw, for me it is surprising, not that I can not do but wooooow, so many things I must do pada do mid side stereo or mono mid side, for me with all the respect you deserve, the mid side in pro tools is absurd, There are times when you can and should use several mid side processes in a project, I will be filled with the arrangement of these technical mid side faders, that is a mistake of those who created the daw, they should repair it, we are in a new era, doing things like this is no longer profitable, I am using the demo of pro tools I want to buy it but I do not know, I have several daws and the but in mid side processing is pro tools of all. I'm confused about one thing. You show at the top midi meter the input signal but you never mention what the output is actually set to? I am trying to set up a drum pad and it asks which midi channel 1-16 I want it set up on. There is no All Channels choice. I can't get my Akai MPD218 set up with Protools. The meter shows input message but how do I get it to trigger the sounds of Superior Drummer 3 for instance? Putting it in inserts doesn't show anything on the drum kit when a pad is pushed on the MPD218. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Thank you! I followed you step by step and it worked. First, I went to ASIO4ALL dot com and downloaded update. Next, I opened up Protools and held down the N key in my keyboard. Then I changed the settings as you did in the video and last, I opened up the ASIO4ALL control panel on the bottom right and selected my interface. Boom! It worked! Thank you for this video!!
